So the excitement of yesterday was an RAF Boeing C17 Globemaster plane circling around the area of our village, practicing landing and immediate takeoff, or not quite landing at all. I have it on the good authority of various males on Facebook that this is called touch and go. It gave a certain excitement to our daily walk guessing whether we'd actually be able to touch it on its next circuit! It was amazing how much varied information was to be found on our village page about it it such a short space of time. Our village is ace!
For some reason I had a busy day yesterday, stripped and remade the bed, airing our big heavy duvet in front of open bedroom windows (remembering my granny's teachings!), and washed anything that I could stuff into a washing machine that was so surprised by the activity that it forgot to complain, and chuntered away to itself, basking in the Spring sunshine.
I've unearthed my exercise bike from the jungle that we laughingly call the spare room. Apart from my large stash of wool, my four sets of book shelves, a double and single bed and sundry boxes of 'stuff,' it also housed most of Mr TLC's collection of tools, large packages which had contained the shower, wash basin and cupboard, and sundry paint tins, brushes etc. while Mr Mr TLC had been fitting the new bathroom. Now that's all completed, his tools have been packed away, the cardboard has been recycled and I can see the carpet again! I say I've unearthed the bike, but now the trick is to persuade myself I need to get on it! That could take some time!!!!!🤣🤣🚴♀️🚴♀️ Our red Acer is just coming into leaf. Be warned! This usually means we'll have a frost!😊
